Dr. Scott Morrell is a native of Orlando, Florida. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans and was a 4 year football letterman. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology in 1981.
Dr. Morrell attended Tulane University School of Medicine from 1981 – 1985, and completed his orthopaedic residency in 1990 at Emory University in Atlanta. He has been in private practice in Toccoa, GA (1990 – 1992) and Conyers/Covington, GA (1993-2011) prior to his relocation to the Auburn/Opelika area.
Dr. Morrell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. His practice is general orthopaedics with areas of interest in joint replacement, sports medicine, and trauma.
He and his wife Kris, a graduate of the Auburn University School of Nursing, have three children, Madeline, Benjamin, and Rachel. His leisure activities include gardening, golf, and fishing.
